Eagle Well Servicing is hiring a Personnel Administrator! This role will be an 18 month fixed term contract position.

Western Energy Services Corp. is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada, and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Personnel Manager, the Personnel Administrative Assistant will primarily be responsible for a wide variety of administrative and support duties for the Personnel team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide high volume of direct administrative and office support to the Personnel Team
  • Assist the Personnel Recruiter with contacting applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection
  • Assist with Interviewing applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education and job skills, safety certifications and driver’s license information
  • Ensure driver files are up to date with all the NSC requirements
  • Entering of New Hire packages and sending to payroll
  • Help maintain employment application records
  • Filing of Field Personnel information
  • Daily data entry and administrative tasks
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation material as required
  • Reception coverage as required
  • Comply with standards and procedures of Western’s Health & Safety program and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach and initiative when handling daily activities to ensure that all tasks are handled efficiently, professionally and in a timely manner with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Taking minutes in the Personnel meetings weekly.
  • Other duties as required

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Grade 12 graduate
  • Office Administration diploma is considered and asset
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team
